About this exit device trim
Exit device trim is the outside handle for an exit device, a lever, knob or pull. Its function decides what someone outside can do: always pull (dummy), use a key to retract the latch (night latch), or turn a lever that a key locks or unlocks. Trim has to match the exit device series and the device type (rim, vertical rod or mortise).
