Sargent 8243 LNP 26D Apartment Corridor Mortise Lock
Sargent model 8243 LNP 26D is an apartment corridor mortise lock, finished in Satin Chrome (626/US26D). This version: LN Rose, P Lever.
About this mortise lock
A mortise lock fits a pocket cut into the door edge, which gives a stronger, longer-wearing lock than a bored cylindrical lock. The function sets how the lever, thumbturn and key behave, and most commercial mortise locks take a separate mortise cylinder or interchangeable core.

Questions and answers
Does it include a cylinder?
Many mortise locks ship without a cylinder so it can be keyed to your system. Check the specifications on this page, and we can supply a matching cylinder or core.
Will it fit my door?
Mortise locks need a mortise-prepped door with the right backset and faceplate size. Match the series and backset, or send us measurements.
