About this cylinder
Lock cylinders hold the pins that match your key. Mortise cylinders thread into mortise locks and many exit devices, rim cylinders work with rim exit devices and night latches, and interchangeable cores (IC) let you rekey by swapping just the core with a control key. The cam or tailpiece has to match the lock it goes into.
