Falcon model D231B 626 is a double cylinder deadbolt, finished in Satin Chrome (626/US26D). This version: SFIC Prep, Less Core.
About this deadbolt
A deadbolt adds a bolt that can't be pushed back without a key or thumbturn, adding security to the main latch. A single cylinder deadbolt has a key outside and a thumbturn inside; a double cylinder has a key on both sides, which some codes restrict on egress doors.
Features
- Door Thickness: 1 3/8” to 1 7/8”. For thicker doors, available up to 2 1/4”.
- Backsets: 2 3/8” to 2 3/4” adjustable deadbolt.
- Handing: Non-handed. May be used in right hand or left hand doors swinging in or out.
- Keyways: “G” keyway standard on conventional cylinders. “A” keyway standard on I/C core cylinders. Also available with some optional keyways.
- Exposed Trim: Wrought brass or bronze reinforced with steel insert.
- Screws: Furnished with wood/machine screws for use on wood or metal doors or frames.
- ANSI/BHMA Standard: A156.5, 2001, Grade 2. UL Listed, A label, 3 hour.

Single cylinder allows quick exit with the thumbturn. Double cylinder needs a key on both sides, so check local code before using it on an exit door.
